Ireland Hostetler

Ireland Hostetler is in her fifth year with the University of Iowa football program, and her second as director of football administration. She previously served as the recruiting operations and special events coordinator from 2022 to 2024, before being elevated to director of internal football operations prior to the 2024 season. Hostetler also worked as a student assistant for operations and recruiting from 2017 to 2021.

Hostetler supports operations within the football program through the coordination of team travel, logistics, and special events. She manages the hiring, supervision, and evaluations of the Iowa football administrative staff to ensure optimal office coverage and operational support. 

The Hawkeyes have achieved sustained success during her eight-year tenure as a student and full-time staff member—winning 66 games, earning bowl game berths each season, appearing in two Big Ten Championship games, and finishing in the final AP Top 25 six times. 

Prior to joining the full-time Iowa staff, Hostetler served as an operations and events intern with the Sugar Bowl from August 2021 through February 2022 while simultaneously working as a gameday media assistant for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. 

Hostetler earned her bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management with a concentration in event management and a minor in communication studies from the University of Iowa. 

A native of Kalona, Iowa, Hostetler resides in the area.
