Athletic trainer Jessica Amoruso joined the University of Iowa Athletic Training Staff in February 2024. Amoruso works with the women’s soccer program as an outreach athletic trainer through UI Sports Medicine.
Amoruso graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2019. Her graduate assistantship at the University of Southern Mississippi followed, where she provided athletic training services for the softball and football teams. After graduating with her Master of Science in Sports Management in 2021, Amoruso accepted a position as a full-time athletic trainer with the University of Southern Mississippi, where she worked with volleyball and soccer.
Amoruso is a licensed athletic trainer by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training and a NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer. She holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid, CPR/AED, First Aid, OSHA, as a Corrective Exercise specialist, and ACE Massage Cupping Bodywork Therapy.
