Lillian Humphries

Lillian Humphries is in her first year as the director of operations for the University of Iowa women's wrestling team. Humphries joined the Hawkeyes after serving as the head women’s wrestling coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.

Humphries has more than 10 years of experience in the sport of women’s wrestling, including the last three seasons helping build the Huntingdon College women’s wrestling program from the ground up. She coached three national qualifiers during her tenure.

A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Humphries graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor’s in business administration and a concentration in management and was a member of the first Division I women's wrestling team in the nation. She was the first South Carolina female to get an athletic scholarship to wrestle Division I and the first NCAA Division I women's wrestling graduate. Humphries was a two-time NCWWC National Qualifier for Presbyterian College. 

Humphries will oversee the day-to-day operations and travel logistics for the Iowa women’s wrestling program.
