Lisa joined the Athletics Development team in 2024 to enhance fundraising initiatives. In her current capacity, she supports major gifts officers in prospect management and stewardship. Additionally, she provides support to capital campaign efforts, the courtesy car program, and annual giving initiatives. A lifelong Hawkeye, Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in English at Iowa in 2006, where she also earned a secondary education teaching certificate. Lisa boasts a long athletic career, earning two All-American honors as a pitcher at Iowa from 2002-2005 including Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2003. Following her collegiate career, she pursued professional softball opportunities abroad and served as a pitching coach at various collegiate institutions including Bethune-Cookman University, Penn State University, and Juniata College. Lisa also coached internationally as a pitching coach for Team Italy and Team Spain. She returned to Iowa City in 2023 with her husband, Andy Banse, and their two children.
