Scott Brickman is the associate athletics director and senior director for strategy and revenue generation – NIL at the University of Iowa. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to maximize Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for Hawkeye student-athletes through Iowa’s comprehensive NIL program while driving strategic initiatives to enhance revenue generation for Iowa athletics.

With a focus on strategic leadership, Brickman oversees all aspects of NIL programming, including education for internal and external stakeholders and guidance to optimize NIL opportunities. He spearheads revenue generation efforts by developing innovative strategies and building partnerships with regional and national brands, as well as the Iowa City business community. Additionally, he collaborates with athletics leadership to expand and strengthen Iowa’s athletic and NIL ecosystem through new resources and initiatives.

Brickman’s career includes launching and serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Iowa Swarm Collective. Prior to that, he spent five years in athletics development at the University of Iowa, where he secured transformative gifts that elevated the Hawkeye athletic experience.

Before transitioning to administration, Brickman enjoyed an 18-year career as a collegiate baseball coach, achieving conference championships, top 25 rankings, and NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2017, he helped lead the University of Iowa baseball program to a Big Ten Championship and its second NCAA tournament appearance in three years.

Born and raised in Iowa, Brickman earned a baseball scholarship to the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated before embarking on his coaching and administrative career.
