The University of Iowa softball team split Friday’s doubleheader against Ohio State at Buckeye Field, dropping game one, 5-2, and run-ruling the Buckeyes, 9-1, in five innings in the nightcap.
The University of Iowa softball team travels to Columbus, Ohio for a three-game series against Ohio State for the Big Ten conference opener. The series opens with a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m. (CT). First pitch for the series finale is set for 10:00 a.m. (CT) on Sunday. All three games will be played at Buckeye Field
The Iowa softball team split Day 2 of the LSU Invitational, defeating Nicholls, 8-5, and falling to No. 17 LSU, 5-3, at Tiger Park.

The University of Iowa softball team swept Day 1 of the LSU Invitational with a 5-3 win over Nicholls State and an 11-2 run-rule victory against Memphis in five innings at Tiger Park.
Hawkeyes Fall to McNeese State
The University of Iowa softball team fell to McNeese State, 11-4, on Thursday afternoon at Joe Miller Field. The Hawkeyes move to 10-5 on the season and will next compete in the LSU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
