The Iowa women’s tennis team fell to No. 66 Wisconsin, 5-2, Saturday afternoon. The Hawkeyes move to 11-5 overall, 4-2 in the Big Ten.
Freshman Hillary Mintz defeated Shana McElroy at No. 2 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. At the No. 3 singles spot, Chelsea Glynn emerged victorious over Lindsay Martin, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4. Meg Racette put up a fight against 85th-nationally ranked Katie McGaffigan, but lost, 6-2, 6-2. In doubles, the Hawkeyes were unable to win a match, giving the point to the Badgers.
The Hawkeyes will compete tomorrow at Northwestern beginning at 11 a.m.
