The Iowa women’s tennis team fell to 29th-ranked Notre Dame, 4-1, in the first round of NCAA regionals. The Hawkeyes finish the season with a 14-9 record.

In doubles, Iowa lost the point after dropping the No. 2 and 3 matches. Deni Alexandrova and Anastasia Zhukova lost the No. 2 match to Lauren Connelly and Alicia Salas, 8-5. The duo of Chelsea Glynn and Hilary Tyler fell to Sarah Jane Connelly and Emily Neighbours, 8-3, at the No. 3 spot.

Alexandrova won at No. 5 singles against Kristina Stastny, 6-2, 6-2. Meg Racette was defeated by 22nd-ranked Alicia Salas, 7-6 (4), 6-4. At No. 2 singles, Hillary Mintz dropped the match to Christian Thompson, 6-3, 6-4. Chelsea Glynn recorded a loss to Catrina Thompson, 6-4, 6-0, at the No. 3 spot.
