Hawkeyes Win Remaining Matches at Hoosier

BLOOMINGTON, IN – The Iowa women’s tennis team went three of three on the final day of competition at the Hoosier Classic. Freshman Milica Veselinovic won the Flight C singles bracket, while Anastasia Zhukova and Hilary Tyler also recorded wins.

In the Flight C singles championship match, Veselinovic defeated Indiana’s Cecile Perton in three sets, 7-6, 5-7, 1-0 (7). Zhukova finished third in Flight B singles by winning against Yelena Olshanskaya of Missouri, 6-2, 6-0. Tyler defeated Murray State’s Casady Pruitt in two sets, 6-2, 6-1. The Flight E singles third-place match was not played, so Morgan Tuttle did not compete today.

The Hawkeyes will compete next at the ITA Midwest Regionals, held October 21-26.
