The Iowa men’s and women’s gymnastics teams competed in the Black & Gold Intrasquad meet, Saturday afternoon, in the North Gym. The Gold Team swept the competition with a total of 333.6, while the Black Team finished with a 331.55. The women’s competition was judged by a panel of celebrity judges, including Iowa Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby, while the men were scored by NCAA-qualified judges.

Michael Reavis won two events, scoring a 9.35 on vault and a 9.3 on high bar, to place first. Michael McNamara won floor with a 9.35. On still rings, Kenny Lin scored a 9.45 to win the event. Matt Beiler and Linas Gaveika tied for the win on parallel bars, both scoring a 9.05

Sophomore Liz Grajewski and freshman Natalie Padilla scored perfect 10’s to be crowned co-champions on floor. Kortny Williamson also received a 10.00, on vault, to win the event. On bars, Romina Mazzoni took top honors with a 9.925. Danielle Legeai was crowned beam champion, scoring a 9.95.
