IOWA CITY – University of Iowa outfielder Nate Yoho has been signed to a free agent contract by the Milwaukee Brewers. Yoho becomes the fourth Hawkeye to sign a professional contract this year. Andy Lytle (Cleveland Indians) and Kris Welker (Chicago White Sox) were both selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, while Jesse Brownell signed a free agent contract with the Colorado Rockies.
The Des Moines native hit .270 with a team-leading eight home runs as a senior, driving in 41 RBIs and stealing 16 bases. He was a third team all-Big Ten selection as a junior.
