GymHawks Fall To Denver

IOWA CITY, IA – The #35 Iowa women’s gymnastics team hosted #15 Denver tonight at the UI Fieldhouse. Denver defeated Iowa, 192.575-191.625.

Senior Liz Grajewski placed first on floor exercise with a score of 9.875, while senior Kortny Williamson placed third on floor with a 9.775.

Williamson was the highest placed Hawkeye on vault with a score of 9.875 for a second place finish in the event. Jennifer Simbhudas placed fourth in the event with a 9.8.

On beam, Simbhudas posted the best score for the Hawkeyes with a fourth place 9.625. Grajewski came in fifth on beam with a 9.575. Beth Dilick was the highest placed Hawkeye on uneven bars with a 9.6 for sixth place. In the all-around Grajewski came in second with a 38.75 and freshman Brandi Loffer placed third with a 36.9.

The Hawkeyes return to action Saturday, February 18th, hosting Illinois. Competition will take place at the UI Fieldhouse and is set to begin at 7 p.m.
