July 22 — Kris Goodman is riding a 10-game hitting streak (including five two-hit games) dating back to July 10… Goodman is hitting .293 (53-of-181) with six home runs, four doubles and a triple for Alexandria… Blake Hickman is 2-3 with a 4.33 ERA in six starts with 24 strikeouts in 27 innings in the Cape Cod League… Hickman has allowed two runs on 11 hits over his last 12 1/3 innings… he picked up a win, scattering four hits over seven innings in a 3-0 win over Brewster on July 17… he had five strikeouts and zero walks… Matt Allen has appeared in three games for the Lombard Orioles, allowing one run on three hits over 3 2/3 innings… Jared Mandel has four appearances for the Lombard Orioles, allowing one unearned run on three hits over six innings… the southpaw has 11 strikeouts… Jimmy Frankos is batting .500 (6-of-12) with three runs and two RBIs for the Lombard Orioles in seven games… Dan Potempa is hitting .315 (29-of-92) with 21 runs and 19 RBIs… he is tied for the team lead with five home runs and has six doubles… Tyler Peyton hit a solo home run to account for Watkins’ lone run in a 4-1 loss to Red Top… Nick Day struck out all three batters he faced, pitching in relief… Jake Mangler scored three runs in Red Top’s 11-1 win over Williamsburg on July 14, while Sean Moore had a double, triple and three RBIs for Red Top… Colby Brecht hit a two-run home run for Norway in a 7-5 win over Fairfax on July 14.

July 7 — Dan Potempa was named to the Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game… he is hitting .271 (16-of-59) with 15 RBIs, 12 runs, four home runs and six doubles in 15 games… Blake Hickman is 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA in four starts in the Cape Cod League… Hickman notched his first win June 28, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings in a 6-2 victory over Bourne… he had four strikeouts against three walks… the right-hander was tagged with the loss July 6 against Chatham, allowing five runs on a pair of hits in 1 2/3 innings… he had three strikeouts, but walked five… Kris Goodman has a team-best 36 hits, five home runs, 25 runs and 20 RBIs for Alexandria in the Northwoods League… Goodman is hitting .288 (36-of-125).

June 27 — Blake Hickman threw five innings, allowing three unearned runs on five hits in a no-decision June 20 against Wareham… the right-hander struck out four in the game… he is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in a pair of starts, striking out nine batters over eight innings… Kris Goodman has hits in four of his last five games including a pair of two hit contests for Alexandria in the Northwoods League… he hit home runs in back-to-back games June 21 and June 22… Goodman is hitting .290 (27-of-93) with four doubles, four home runs, 15 runs and 13 RBIs in 25 games… Dan Potempa is leading the Southland Vikings with two home runs this summer in the Midwest Collegiate League… seven of Potempa’s 10 hits have gone for extra bases, and he has seven RBIs and seven runs scored.

June 20 — Kris Goodman is hitting .286 (20-of-70) with two home runs, 11 runs and nine RBIs… Goodman has hits in four of his last five games, including a 2-for-4, two run contest June 16 in a 5-3 win over St. Cloud… Jake Mangler is hitting .500 (5-of-10) with two runs and two RBIs in three games for the Hannibal Cavemen… he went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored in an 8-5 win over Quincy on June 17… Dan Potempa is hitting .261 (6-of-23) with three doubles and a home run… he has scored five runs, drew five walks and driven in three… Blake Hickman allowed four runs on four hits over three innings in his first start in the Cape Cod League — a 5-2 loss at Harwich.

June 13 — Kris Goodman was named the Northwoods League Player of the Night on June 11 after finishing 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI against Thunder Bay. He had a double and home run to boost his season average to .310 through the first 12 games with eight RBIs and six runs… Jake Riffice is hitting .250 (12-of-48) with three doubles, nine RBIs and six runs scored in 15 games for the Waterloo Bucks… Riffice has two multi-hit games in his last three contests, including a 3-for-4, three run, one RBI game in a 12-8 win over Mankato… Jake Mangler is hitting .429 (3-of-7) with a run and two walks in a pair of games with Hannibal… Jimmy Frankos has a .500 (1-for-2) with two RBIs in one game with the Cavemen… Matt Allen has appeared in two games for the Lombard Orioles, posting a 3.37 ERA in 2 2/3 innings in relief… Dan Potempa is hitting .250 (3-of-12) with two runs in three games with the Southland Vikings… Eric Toole had three hits, including a leadoff triple to start the game, two steals and two RBIs in a 5-1 win over Fairfax… Toole was named the Iowa Valley League Baseball Co-Player of the Week on June 8… Tyler Peyton joined the Watkins Mudhens.

June 4 — Kris Goodman is hitting .250 (3-for-12) with two runs and three RBIs for the Alexandria Blue Anchors… he hit a home run, finishing 1-for-2 with two runs and three RBIs in team’s 7-4 win over ThunderBay on June 1… Jake Riffice went 2-for-4 with a run scored in his Bucks debut at Rochester on May 27… Riffice has five RBIs and three runs scored in seven games… Dan Potempa is hitting .250 (2-for-8) in a pair of games for the Southland Vikings… Blake Hickman begins play with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League on June 11.
