IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team fell to top-ranked Oklahoma 405.150-397.750 on Saturday in Carver Hawkeye Arena.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Andrew Herrador and freshman Evan Davis placed first (78.650) and second (78.350), respectively in the all-around competition.  The Hawkeyes bested 13 scores, including their season-high score on rings with a 66.900.

QUOTING COACH REIVE

“We had a less than stellar week in training. We were really great starting off and we kind of dipped. I was nervous thinking that pommel horse would be how the rest of the meet went. What I thought was great, though, was that even after we had that debacle, we started doing better on events that we haven’t been and finished on high bar, which was awesome. We had really good sets, really good landings, and we were able to have that presence mindset and make a mistake and do it again is really important.”
