WILMINGTON, N.C. – The University of Iowa men’s golf team placed 10th at the Williams Cup on Sunday. Sophomore Ian Meyer and senior Mac McClear secured top-25 finishes at Eagle Point Golf Club.
Meyer shot 76 (+4) on Sunday to tie for 21st on the leaderboard at 226 (+10) through 54 holes. He led Iowa with 10 birdies on the week, including two in the final round.
McClear moved six spots up the leaderboard on Sunday to tie for 24th at the Williams Cup. McClear shot the low Hawkeye third round score of 75 (+3) to secure his fifth top-25 finish in as many events this fall.
