PROGRAM QUICK HITS
• Iowa broke the WBB all-time attendance record for a single game with 55,646 on hand for the Crossover at Kinnick exhibition against DePaul.
• National Player of the Year candidate, Caitlin Clark, is the first Division-I player to record 3,000+ points, 900+ assists, and 800+ rebounds in a career.
• Gabbie Marshall became the first Iowa women’s basketball player to register 200+ 3-pointers made and 200+ steals in a career.
• Iowa has two AP Top 20 wins this season.
• UI is off to its fifth 13-1 start under Lisa Bluder.
• The Hawkeyes won the 2023 Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla., with three games in three days. Clark was named the Tournament MVP.
• Since 2008, Bluder’s teams own a 235-43 record inside of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. In that stretch, the Hawkeyes have posted three undefeated seasons at home.
• Over the last nine years, Iowa has dropped the second-fewest regular season home games in the Big Ten.
• Iowa’s 2023-24 roster is comprised of two fifth-year, one graduate, one senior, five juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen. Four Hawkeyes are Iowa natives, four from Illinois, two from Michigan, and one each from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio.
• Six Big Ten regular-season games will be on a nationally broadcast platform (either NBC or FOX), the most in conference history. The Hawkeyes are featured in four of the sixcontests – Indiana (Jan. 13/FOX), at Ohio State (Jan. 21/NBC), at Maryland (Feb. 3/FOX),Ohio State (March 3/FOX).
• Iowa WBB has helped sellout or break an attendance record in 26 of 32 games this season. Tickets are available to catch the Hawkeyes against Purdue, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Indiana. All of which are on the road. UI helped set attendance records at OSU, Nebraska, and Indiana a season ago.
• The Hawkeyes had a nation’s best six wins against AP Top 10 opponents last season.
• For the first time in the Bluder era, the Hawkeyes knocked off an AP Top 10 team in the month of November. It has only occurred one other time in school history.
• Bluder owns a 507-250 (.669) record and a 249-141 (.638) conference mark at Iowa. In her 39 seasons as a head coach, Bluder is 863-392 (.688).

THIS WEEK
The fourth-ranked Hawkeyes will host Michigan State on Jan. 2. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. (CT) inside a sold-out Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE
• Michigan State owns a 11-2 overall record this season.
• The Spartans are currently riding a four-game win streak.
• Michigan State’s 105 points in the win over Coastal Carolina win tied a season-high for the third time this season, matching 105 points in back-to-back games vs. Detroit Mercy (11/16) and Evansville (11/19). Overall, it was the Spartans’ fourth 100-point outing of the season, the most-ever in a season for an MSU team.
• Michigan State has made a name for itself with its offense so far this season. But the Spartan defense hasn’t been too shabby this season. MSU is tied for second in the Big Ten in steals, averaging 10.8 spg. The Spartans are also fifth in the league in blocks with 4.3 per game. While scoring 92.0 ppg, Michigan State is allowing only 63.3 ppg.
• Head Coach Robyn Fralick is in her first season in East Lansing.
• This season, Michigan State is first in the Big Ten in scoring margin (+28.8) and first in assists (21.7 apg). The Spartans are also first in the league in 3-point field goals made, averaging 10.6 per game.
