Hawkeyes Open with PRs at Bryan Clay Invite

AZUSA, Calif. – Three University of Iowa track and field athletes competed in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Sophomore Hayden Kuhn and junior Yohana Yual came away with a pair of personal bests and program top-10 times. 

Kuhn placed 25th, running 8:59.18 to improve upon his own seventh-ranked time at Iowa set his last time out at the Fanelli Track Classic. Kuhn hails from Marion, Iowa.

Yual raced 9:02.33 for a personal record and the next fastest time in program history. Yual is a native of Des Moines, Iowa.

UP NEXT
Iowa competes April 12-13 at the Beach Invite in Long Beach, California, and the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Florida. Iowa also competes at the Jim Duncan Invite hosted by Drake on April 12.
