ON THE MAT
The Hawkeyes are set to host No. 4 Grand Valley State and Augustana College on Jan. 18 in their final home dual of the season inside of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Action will begin at 5:30 pm with a neutral site dual between Augustana and Grand Valley State. The Hawkeyes will take the mat at approximately 6 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hawkeyes won their second straight NWCA National Duals title in Cedar Falls, Iowa, this past weekend. As a team they went 33-7 in four duals with 10 pins and nine tech. falls.
PREVIEWING AUGUSTANA AND GRAND VALLEY STATE
Augustana enters the weekend with a 4-3 record in duals this season. They hav picked up wins over Elmhurst, Cornell, Eureka and Jamestown. The Vikings ha three athletes qualify for the 2024 NCWWC National Championships last seaso and all three have returned for the 2024-25 season; Sawyer Graham (160), Sandi Pfeil (124), and Hannah Suboni-Kaufman (124).
Grand Valley State enters the weekend ranked fourth in the NWCA coaches poll. The Lakers come into Carver with a 1-1 dual record with a win over Northern Michigan. GVSU has six ranked wrestlers in the NWCA Coaches Poll: Rayana Sahagun (4th, 103), Sage Mortimer (1st, 110), Aspen Blasko (4th, 124), Katie Lange (2nd, 138), Elleni Johnson (9th, 145) and Sabrina Nauss (2nd, 180).
2025 SENIOR DAY
The Hawkeyes will honor their four seniors this weekend. The senior class consists of Nanea Estrella, Jaycee Foeller, Macey Kilty and Emmily Patneaud. Iowa will also honor student manager Alix Bushard.

The Hawkeyes will travel to Albany, NY, for the 2025 Journeymen Wrestling College Duals on Saturday, Jan. 25. Iowa will face Lock Haven, Sacred Heart, Elmira and Presbyterian.
