WBB Preview – Hawkeyes at WBCA Showcase

The nationally ranked Iowa women’s basketball team will travel Orlando to take on No. 7 Baylor (Nov. 20, 8 p.m. CT) and Miami (Nov. 22, 7 p.m. CT) at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Showcase. Iowa's tilt with Baylor will broadcast on ESPN2 and the contest against the Hurricanes will be available on ESPN+ ($). Both games will air on the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Radio: Games air on the Hawkeye Radio Network with Jon Swisher (play-by-play) and Kathryn Reynolds (color) on the call. » Baylor defeated Le Monye on Sunday, 99-43. Darianna Littlepage-Buggs powered Baylor with 26 points on 12-of-13 shooting and 11 rebounds, recording her 31st career double-double. Bella Fontleroy added 21 points, including the milestone 1,000th career point on her final shot of the night, while Taliah Scott poured in 22 with a career-high nine assists.

» The Hurricanes are 3-0 for the ninth consecutive season. The Hurricanes play Davidson on Thursday for their first game in Orlando. 
» With the loss of all five starters from 2024-25, Miami has a new set of players steping onto the court at Watsco. The Canes retained two players from the 2024-25 roster: sophomore Ahnay Adams and redshirt freshman Simone Pelish. With the massive turnover, the Canes have welcomed 12 new players: seven transfers from the portal and five freshmen.
