4 Hawkeyes Win Luther Hill Open Titles

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The University of Iowa women’s wrestling team opened the season at the Luther Hill Open on Saturday. Four Hawkeyes won individual titles, and eight Iowa wrestlers recorded top-three finishes.

Valarie Solorio claimed the 103-pound title, outscoring her opponents 52-5. Harlee Hiller won at 117 pounds with three pins and a technical fall. At 124 pounds, Cali Leng earned the championship with two technical falls, while Karlee Brooks captured the 131-pound crown with two technical falls and a pin.

Ava Rose and Bella Williams finished as runners-up at 124 and 131 pounds, respectively. Cadence Diduch placed second at 145 pounds, and Sterling Dias took third at 103 pounds.
