In his collegiate debut at the Jimmy Grant Invite, Gross posted a team-best 6.77 in the prelims of the 60 meters. His time ranks second in the Big Ten. Among freshmen, Gross is ranked 12th nationally. In the 300 meters, Gross finished as the second-fastest collegian in 33.49.

Nationally, Nave is 23rd. The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, native and Indian Hills transfer ran a qualifying time of 7.67 in the 60-meter prelims. Ultimately, Nave placed fourth in the finals in 7.70.
