IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Iowa is ranked No. 9 in the NFHCA poll. The Hawkeyes have appeared in 103 consecutive polls dating back to 2016.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
•The Hawkeyes have made 30 NCAA Tournament appearances — the most of any school as a member of the Big Ten Conference — and have reached 12 NCAA Final Fours, including winning the 1986 NCAA Championship.
• Iowa is 30-29 all-time in NCAA Tournament play. The program’s 30 NCAA Tournament victories and 12 Final Four appearances are the most of any Big Ten school.
ALL-AMERICANS
• Two standout Hawkeyes earned NFHCA All-American honors for the 2025 season: Dionne van Aalsum and Frederique van Cleef
• van Aalsum earned her second career All-America nod as she led the nation with 28 goals and 1.40 goals per game and was second with 59 points and 2.95 points per game.
• van Cleef earned her first All-American of her career as she finished second on the team in both goals and assists playing in every game, tallying 12 goals and five assists.
5 HAWKEYES EARN ALL-WEST REGION HONORS IN 2025
• Five Hawkeyes earned All-West Region recognition for the 2025 season: Jordan Byers, Mia Magnotta, Milly Short, Dionne van Aalsum, and Frederique van Cleef.
• Van Aalsum and van Cleef were named to All-West Region first team.
• Magnotta, Short, and Byers were named to All-West Region second team.
7 HAWKEYES EARN BIG TEN HONORS IN 2025
• Seven Hawkeyes earned Big Ten recognition for the 2025 season: Jordan Byers, Tea Fortpied, Milly Short, Dionne van Aalsum, Frederique van Cleef, Lieve van Kessel, and Felicia Zonnenberg.
• Van Aalsum and van Cleef were named to the All-Big Ten first team.
• Byers, Fortpied, and Short were named to the All-Big Ten second team.
• Byers, Fortpied, and Zonnenberg were selected to the All-Freshman Team.
• Van Kessel was Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award nominee.

Dionne Van Aalsum leads all active Division I players with 64 career goals in 56 games.
• She led the nation with 28 goals as a freshman before scoring nine goals a season ago.
• She totaled a national best 28 goals in 2025 and averaged 1.40 goals per game, leading the nation in both categories.

CELLUCCI INTO HALL OF FAME
• Iowa head coach and alumna Lisa Cellucci was inducted into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame on Aug. 29 as part of the eight-member 2025 class.
• Cellucci is a three-time NFHCA All-American selection (1995,1996,1998), a three-time NFHCA West Region All-American (1995, 1996, 1998)
• She is a four-time All-Big Ten honoree, earning first-team honors in 1995 and 1996 and second-team distinction in 1997 and 1998
• She ranks as Iowa’s all-time leader in program saves with 592
• Cellucci led the team to two Big Ten regular season titles with an undefeated conference record of 10-0 in both seasons, one Big Ten Tournament championship, three NCAA Elite Eight appearances and an NCAA Final Four

ABOUT THE DEFENSE
The Hawkeyes outscored their opponents 61-32 this season. Iowa surrendered 32 goals in 20 games, and the Hawkeye defense has allowed 225 total shots, including 173 on goal.
• The Hawkeyes recorded four shutouts on the season.
MAGNOTTA IN GOAL
• Mia Magnotta played every minute in goal for the Hawkeyes during the season allowing 32 goals and making 97 saves.
• Magnotta ranked in the top-10 in four Big Ten categories this season: third in saves per game (4.85, 30th nationally), fourth in save percentage (.752, 22nd nationally), tenth in average goals against (1.58, 31st nationally), and tied for second in goalie win-loss percentage (.643, 22nd nationally).

• Dionne van Aalsum was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8 and Sept. 15
• Milly Short was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27
• Dionne van Aalsum was named Big ten Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3, marking her third of the season -- her 11 total weekly honors (seven offensive, four freshman) are the most in Iowa field hockey history and are tied for second-most all-time among Big Ten players with Northwestern’s Bente Baekers. She trails Northwestern’s Chelsea Armstrong (13).
