2 Hawkeyes Advance to Soldier Salute Finals

CORALVILLE, Iowa — 12th-ranked Jordan Williams and Gabe Arnold punched their tickets to Sunday night’s Soldier Salute first-place matchup, at their respective weights. 

At 157, Williams earned a ranked win over No. 21 J Conway of Mizzou, 8-2, taking a pair of takedowns, followed by an escape and topped off by riding time. 

Arnold allowed just one point against his opponent Izzy Moreno of UNI, capturing two takedowns to advance to the finals at 174. 

Kale Peterson (141) and Kael Voinovich (149) will both wrestle for third place, while Victor Voinovich III (157) and Harvey Ludington (197) will be wrestling in the fifth-place matchup. 

Session IV of the Soldier Salute will begin at 5:00 p.m. CT. The action will be streamed live on B1G+.
