IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Start times and television information for four University of Iowa 2026 football home games, including the first three contests, were announced Wednesday by the Big Ten Conference in conjunction with BTN, ESPN, CBS, NBC and FOX television networks.
The Hawkeyes open the season with three straight nonconference home games. The Sept. 5 season-opener against Northern Illinois in Kinnick Stadium is slated for an unconventional 3:15 p.m. (CT) kickoff on BTN.
The annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game versus Iowa State will be under the lights beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and airing on NBC, while Iowa’s nonconference finale versus UNI will start mid-afternoon at 3 p.m. and will be televised on FS1. The contest against the Cyclones will mark just the third time that clash in Iowa City will be contested in primetime (2002, 2016).
Iowa’s West Coast game at Washington on Friday, Oct. 9, was previously announced for an 8 p.m. (CT) kickoff and will be televised on FOX or FS1.
The Hawkeyes will be Homecoming visitors at Minnesota (Oct. 24); that time is TBD but will start between 2-7 p.m. Iowa’s Homecoming game against Wisconsin on Oct. 31 will kickoff no later than 4 p.m.
Iowa’s regular season finale, Friday, Nov. 27, against Nebraska will have an early start time of 11 a.m. in Iowa City with CBS carrying the contest.
