Four Hawkeyes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Holly Duax, Ryan Johnson, Princess Uche and Peyton Wilson earned the distinction following the 2025-26 season.
Student-athletes are eligible for recognition if they rank within the top 50 in an individual event on the regional level. Academically, nominees must be at least a sophomore and hold a minimum of a 3.50 GPA.
Duax won three Drake Relays titles this season, including the 100 meters and as part of the sprint medley relay and 4x100 relay. She posted a collegiate best of 11.32 in the 100 meters and moved to fourth all-time in school history at the Drake Relays. She is a part of five of Iowa’s top-10 times in the 4x100 relay. During indoor season, Duax notched top-10 program times with personal bests in the 60 meters (7.35) and 200 meters (23.45). It is Duax’s second time being named CSC Academic All-District.
Johnson was the program’s first-ever national champion in the weight throw, winning the title with a meet and facility record of 25.64 meters. He also was the Big Ten Champion at 25.66 meters and was the Big Ten Men’s Field Athlete of the Year and Big Ten Men’s Field Athlete of the Championships. Johnson went undefeated in the weight throw indoors. He was also a first-team All-American and placed third in the hammer throw during outdoor season. Johnson holds the school record in both events and was named a Bowerman Award Watch List member by the USTFCCCA.
Uche was an NCAA qualifier in the women’s 4x400 relay. She became a first-team All-American in her first season with the program, running the third leg of Iowa’s school record-setting relay in Eugene. The relay placed fifth in 3:25.10. Uche was also a member of the 4x400 relay team that won the Drake Relays title. As an individual, Uche qualified to the NCAA First Rounds in the 400 meters and finished in 52.90. Indoors, Uche placed third at the Big Ten Championships in the 600 meters, crossing the line in a personal-best 1:27.83.
Wilson wrapped up her season as a qualifier to the NCAA West Regional meet in the hammer throw, where she finished with a 56.21-meter mark. She was the champion at the Musco Twilight, breaking 60 meters for the first time in her career en route to the title. Wilson ranks fifth all-time at Iowa in the event.
