Hawk-Item – – Was not a member of the football program in 2013 before rejoining the team for 2014 spring practice.

2011 – – Redshirted after joining the team as a walk-on.

High school honors – – Named Daily Herald Player of the Week during senior season . . . earned two varsity letters, handling long snaps, in addition to playing tight end, linebacker and fullback . . . Career – – helped prep team finish second in the state as a senior, while posting two year record of 21-4 and losing just one conference game in two seasons . . . rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns as a senior and recorded 15 tackles on defense.

Personal – – Born 8/28/92 . . . biology/pre-med major . . . Honor Roll student as a prep . . . parents are Linda and James Kolka . . . high school coach was Dan Thorpe.
