2014 — Indoor – placed 12th in shot put at Big Ten Championships (56-8, 17.27m), fourth at Jack Johnson Classic (56-1, 17.09m), fourth at Big 4 Duals (55-3, 16.84m), second at Iowa Invite (53-2 1/4, 16.21m), 11th at Husker Invite (55-1, 16.79m) and Bill Bergan Invite (52-6 1/2, 16.01m), and 14th at ISU Classic (51-8 1/4, 15.75m)… Outdoor – placed 14th in shot put at Mt. SAC Relays (55-4 1/4, 16.87m), fourth at Arizona State Invite (53-5, 16.28m), fifth at Illinois Twilight (52-10 1/4, 16.11m), sixth at Arkansas Spring Invite (52-10 1/4, 16.11m) and 10th at Musco Twilight (52-5 1/4, 15.98m)… Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner… letterwinner.

2009-12 — offensive lineman on the Hawkeye football team.

High School — two-time first team elite all-state, three-time first team all-district and all-metro selection in football… set school record with 119 pancake blocks… also played defensive line, collecting 130 tackles… team captain as a senior… also lettered in basketball and track… helped prep basketball team post 20-5 overall record as a senior, as team advanced to state tournament… set school records for shot put and discus . . . helped prep track team finish ninth in Class 3-A state meet as a senior… won individual state titles in both shot put (64-7 ¾) and discus (161-01) as a senior… three-time academic all-district and all-state… finished in top 10 in his class academically throughout high school.
