2006 as a Junior… Third team all-Big Ten selection… ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District 7 selection… NFCA Academic all-American Scholar Athlete… Academic all-Big Ten… started all 61 games in center field… batted .302 with four home runs and 26 RBI … recorded team-best three triples… stole nine bases in 14 attempts… scored 28 runs… had 13 multi-hit games… went 3-4 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle against Purdue (April 21)… went 2-3 with an RBI against Illinois State in NCAA Regionals (May 20).
2005 as a Sophomore… Unanimous first team all-Big Ten selection… started all 64 games in center field… led team with a .421 batting average and .421 on base percentage in conference play… led the team with 22 stolen bases.
2004 as a Freshman… Played in 61 games, starting 33… lead the team with 12 stolen bases… hit a seventh-inning, game-tying pinch hit home run in Iowa[apos]s 14-inning win over Penn State (Apr. 23)… hit a three-run home run against Western Illinois (Apr. 28).
High School… 2003 Iowa Player of the Year as a senior… also 2003 Iowa Class 3A Player of the Year and Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year… four-time all-state selection, being named to the Elite team in 2002 and 2003… led North Scott High School to a state title as a junior and runner-up finishes in 2000, 2001 and 2003.
