High School — State champion and all-time Iowa record holder in the 110-meter hurdles… state runner-up in the event as a junior…four-time all-state in the shuttle hurdle relay, winning the state title as a junior… Drake Relays champion, setting a meet record of 13.80… three-time conference champion in the 110-meter hurdles… team won back-to-back state titles after finishing as state runner-up his freshman year… team MVP as a senior… also lettered in football as a wide receiver and long snapper and in basketball… coached by Jordan Mullen, Jeff Bauer and Brandt Carlson… Bernie Saggau Award recipient and all-state and all-conference academic honoree.

Personal — Born Sept. 17, 2007, in Sioux Falls, S.D.… parents are Brandt and Nicky Carlson, who played basketball and softball, respectively, at Northwestern College… siblings are Dillon, Addie and Myra… brother, Dillon, played basketball at Iowa Lakes, Drury and Northwestern, while sister, Myra, plays volleyball at Dordt… business major.
