2008 — Indoor – redshirted… Outdoor – led team in 1,500 (3:51.99), 5,000 (14:27.31) and 10,000 meters (30:19.92)… placed fourth in 10,000 meters (30:19.92) at Big Ten Championships, running that event for the first time in his career… ran season bests in 1,500 meters (3:51.99) at Tiger Classic and 5,000 meters (14:27.31) at Drake Relays… academic all-Big Ten… letterwinner…Cross Country – lone Hawkeye to compete at NCAA Championships, placing 43rd with a collegiate-best 30:17 (10,000 meters)… that time ranks second in school history… set school 6,000-meter record (23:01) with his fourth-place finish at Auburn Invite… earned Big Ten Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors Oct. 7 for that performance… Iowa[apos]s top finisher in six of eight races… led team in 8,000 (23:01) and 10,000 meters (30:17)… placed ninth at Big Ten Championships (24:52), earning all-Big Ten honors… placed 15th at NCAA Midwest Regional (31:32), earning all-region honors… also placed second at Hawkeye Invite (18:40), which ranks sixth in school history… placed 14th at Roy Griak Invite (24:40) and 55th at NCAA Pre-Nationals (24:31)… academic all-Big Ten… letterwinner.

2007 — Indoor – won 800 meters with a collegiate-best 1:55.94 at Iowa Invite… ran collegiate-best mile (4:10.68) at Cyclone Classic Outdoor – ran collegiate-best 1,500 meters (3:49.99) at Stanford Invite… that time led team and ranks seventh in school history… placed third in 1,500 meters at Musco Twilight IX (3:50.59) … letterwinner… Cross Country – placed 15th at NCAA Midwest Regional with a season-best 30:30, earning all-region honors… placed 20th at Big Ten Championships (24:24) and 41st at NCAA Pre-Nationals (23:59)… led team in five of six races.. won Early Bird Invite (25:26), placed second at Loyola Lakefront Invite (24:41) and third at Hawkeye Open (25:27)… academic all-Big Ten… USTFCCCA academic all-American… team also earned USTFCCCA academic all-America honors… letterwinner.

2006 — Cross Country – placed 45th (32:11) at NCAA Midwest Regional and 66th (24:34) at NCAA Pre-Nationals … placed sixth at Hawkeye Open (6,000 meters-18:51)… placed 87th at Roy Griak Invite (26:12)… letterwinner.

High School — placed sixth (14:26) at state cross country meet senior year and 10th (14:44) as a junior… six-time conference and two-time sectional champion… four-time all-conference, three-time team MVP and two-time all-state in cross country… named Booster Club most outstanding athlete, track team MVP and cross country team captain senior year… best 1,600-meter time was 4:13… soccer team MVP… Illinois state scholar… academic all-conference… coached by T.J. Artman, Mike Brosseau and Romelle Taylor.
