2012 — Indoor – led team in mile (4:06.11), 3,000 meters (8:06.03) and two miles (8:53.91)… anchored distance medley relay that placed third at Big Ten Championships with a school record-setting 9:45.41… placed eighth in mile (4:09.14) at Big Ten Championships, running a 4:07.06 in prelims… won two miles (8:53.91) at New Year’s Classic… placed 20th in mile at Husky Invite (4:06.11)… won mile (4:08.52) and placed second in 3,000 meters (8:16.36) at Adidas Classic… placed fifth in 3,000 meters at Alex Wilson Invite (8:06.03)… won 800 meters at Iowa Invite (1:53.42)… Outdoor – won 1,500 meters with a team-leading 3:46.32 at Arkansas Spring Invite… won 1,500 meters at Musco Twilight XIII (3:46.65) and placed 12th at Big Ten Championships (3:49.96)… anchored distance medley (9:41.59) and ran third leg on 6,400-meter relays (17:02.26) at Drake Relays… both times lead team and rank third all-time at Iowa… letterwinner.

2011 — Indoor – became the first runner in school history to clock a sub-four-minute mile, running the event in 3:58.72 at Last Chance Qualifier… All-American, placing sixth in mile at NCAA Championships (4:01.73)… set school record in 3,000 meters (8:00.38) at Huskie Invite, which was the first time he’d run the event in his Hawkeye career… placed third in mile (4:02.00) and eighth in 5,000 meters (14:16.00) at Big Ten Championships… the 5,000-meter time ranks fifth all-time at Iowa… anchored distance medley relay to fifth-place finish at Big Ten Championships with a team-leading 9:57.44, which ranks eighth all-time at Iowa… Outdoor – placed sixth in 1,500 meters (3:51.13) and seventh in 5,000 meters (14:12.40) at Big Ten Championships, helping team to first Big Ten title since 1967… the 5,000-meter time led team and ranks ninth all-time at Iowa… placed 14th in 1,500 meters at NCAA West Regional (3:47.35), running a team-leading season-best 3:45.30 in prelims… anchored team-leading distance medley relay to third-place finish at Drake Relays in 9:41.37, which ranks second all-time at Iowa… ran third leg on school record-setting 3,200-meter relay that placed second at Drake Relays in 7:23.77… won 800 meters at Jim Duncan Invite (1:52.53) and placed second in 1,500 meters at Drake Relays (3:46.15)… letterwinner… Cross Country – lone Hawkeye to qualify for NCAA Championships, placing 78th in 30:38 (10,000 meters)… earned all-region honors for third straight season, placing eighth at NCAA Midwest Regional in 31:23 (10,000 meters)… placed 20th at Big Ten Championships (24:22-8,000 meters)… won Iowa Open (19:01-6,000 meters) and placed 17th at Chile Pepper Festival (30:12-10,000 meters)… Iowa’s top finisher in the five races where he competed… letterwinner.

2010 — Indoor – set then-school record in the mile with a provisional qualifying win at the NCAA Qualifier (4:03.07)… anchored fourth-place distance medley relay at Big Ten Championships (9:52.71)… that time ranks seventh all-time at Iowa… Outdoor – set school record in 1,500 meters at NCAA West Regional preliminaries (3:43.02)… broke a Francis X. Cretzmeyer facility record and a Musco Twilight meet record with his 1,500-meter win at Musco Twilight XI (3:44.51)… ran third leg on eighth-place 6,400-meter relay at Drake Relays (17:01.46), which ranks second all-time at Iowa… ran season-best 5,000 meters at Big Ten Championships (14:17.79)… letterwinner… Cross Country – earned All-America, all-region, and second-team all-Big Ten honors… was team’s top finisher in each race… placed 30th out of 246 runner at NCAA Championships (30:31) to became the sixth All-American in Hawkeye men’s school history and first since 1998… was one of six Big Ten men’s runners to earn All-America honors… placed fifth at NCAA Regional in 10,000 meters with a school record-setting time of 29:55.78, marking the second straight season he earned all-region honors… placed ninth at Big Ten Championships (23:56-8,000 meters) to earn second team all-Big Ten honors… ran a collegiate best time in 8,000 meters at Bradley Classic (23:27), finishing second… that time ranks fourth all-time at Iowa… finished 25th at Wisconsin adidas Invite in 8,000 meters (24:04)… won Iowa Invite, posting a time of 25:05 in 8,000 meters… finished third at Hawkeye Invite, running a time of 19:04 in 6,000 meters… team earned USTFCCCA all-academic honors… letterwinner.

2009 — Cross Country – placed 21st at NCAA Regional with a season-best 31:27 (10,000 meters), earning all-region honors… placed 17th at Big Ten Championships (25:52) and 19th at NCAA Pre-Nationals (24:15)… won Hawkeye Invite (18:21-6,000 meters) and Iowa State Intercollegiate (24:50)… placed second at Wisconsin Adidas Invite (23:55-8,000 meters)… the 6,000-meter time ranks second all-time at Iowa… Iowa[apos]s top finisher in five of six races… one of four Hawkeyes to compete in all six races… letterwinner.

High School — won state titles in cross country and 1,600 meters senior year… all-state and all-conference honoree, earning team MVP and athlete of the year honors as a senior… placed fifth in two miles at 2009 national meet, finishing ninth as part of 3,200-meter relay and 12th as part of distance medley relay in 2008… set school records in 800 meters (1:53.710, 1,600 meters (4:05.00) and as part of 3,200-meter relay (7:51.9)… four-year letterwinner in cross country and track… two-time Illinois High School Scholar-Athlete award winner… coached by Russel Dahl and John Powers.
