2021 — Indoor – placed second in 600 meters at Hawkeye B1G Invite (1:18.54) while competing unattached… Outdoor – All-American… ran lead leg on team-leading 1,600-meter relay that placed fifth at NCAA Championships in 3:02.54, earning first team All-America honors… that time ranks third all-time at Iowa… ran second leg on team-leading 1,600-meter relay that placed ninth at NCAA West Preliminary (3:04.71)… ran collegiate-best 400-meter hurdles at NCAA West Preliminary (50.92), which ranks 10th all-time at Iowa… anchored 1,600-meter to third place (3:06.77) and placed fourth in 400-meter hurdles (50.93) at B1G Championships… Academic All-Big Ten… USTFCCCA all-academic team member… letterwinner.

2020 — Indoor – placed second in 600 meters at B1G Championships (1:17.03)… that collegiate-best mark ranks fourth all-time at Iowa… won 600 meters at Rod McCravy Memorial (1:17.99), running event at Larry Wieczorek Invite (1:18.72)… ran 600 yards at Iowa State Classic (1:10.54)… Dean’s list student… Academic All-Big Ten.

2019 — Indoor – ran 400 meters at Alex Wilson Invite (48.95) and 600 meters (1:19.27) at Frank Sevigne Invite… placed seventh in 600 meters at B1G Championships (1:20.75), running a season-best 1:18.71 in prelims… Outdoor – ran 400-meter hurdles at B1G Championships (53.34), Drake Relays (53.67), Beach Invite (54.00), Florida Relays (54.06), and Mt. SAC Relays (54.33)… Academic All-Big Ten… letterwinner.

2018 — Indoor – ran season-best 600 meters at Big Ten Championships (1:19.17)… ran 400 meters (48.38) and 600 meters (1:21.02) at Meyo Invite… Outdoor – placed seventh in 400-meter hurdles at B1G Championships (52.45), running a season-best 52.26 in prelims… ran third leg on team-leading sprint medley relays (3:26.84) at Florida Relays… Academic All-Big Ten… letterwinner.

2017 — Indoor – placed eighth in 600 meters at B1G Championships, running a season-best 1:17.40… ran 400 meters at Alex Wilson Invite (48.11), Meyo Invite (48.74) and Iowa State Classic (48.76)… Outdoor – ran 400-meter hurdles at Baldy Castillo Invite (53.60) and Jim Click Shootout (53.76)… letterwinner.

High School — set school record as part of 1,600-meter relay (3:14.14)… two-time team MVP… four-time league champion… ran on conference champion and state runner-up 400-meter relay senior year… 2015 Junior Olympics participant… also played football (receiver and quarterback)…  coached by Joe McNab.

Personal — born July 28, 1998… son of Eric and Stacey Lietz… has one sister, Amanda… biomedical engineering major.
