Indoor - NCAA weight throw champion, throwing a meet and facility record-setting 84-1 1/2 (25.64m) to earn first-team All-America status... B1G weight throw champion, throwing a world-leading 84-2 1/4 (25.66m), earning B1G Men’s Field Athlete of the Championships honors... that mark broke his previous school record, as well as shattering collegiate, meet, and facility records in that event... currently ranks third all-time among American weight throwers and fourth in history in the event overall... USTFCCCA Midwest Region and B1G Men’s Field Athlete of the Year... won weight throw with a then-school record-setting 82-0 (24.99m) at Iowa State Classic, earning USTFCCCA Men’s National Athlete of the Week and Big Ten Men’s Field Event Athlete of the Week honors... won weight throw with a then-school, facility and meet record-setting 81-6 1/2 (24.85m) at Hawkeye Invite, earning Big Ten Men’s Field Event Athlete of the Week honors... won weight throw with a meet record-setting 78-7 (23.95m) at Jimmy Grant Alumni Invite... also won weight throw at Tyson Invite (80-7 3/4, 24.58m), Iowa Open (80-4 1/4, 24.49m), Arkansas Invite (79-11 1/4, 24.36m) and Larry Wieczorek Invite (79-0 1/2, 24.09m)... Dean’s List (Fall 2025)... Outdoor - Won hammer throw with a school record-setting 248-6 (75.75m) at Jim Duncan Invite.

 

 

2025 -- Indoor - First-team All-American... placed third in weight throw at NCAA Championships (80-3 3/4, 24.48m)... B1G Champion in weight throw (80-0, 24.38m)... won weight throw with a then-school record-setting 80-8 (24.59m) at Robinson Family Open, earning Big Ten Men’s Field Event Athlete of the Week honors for his performance... won weight throw at Iowa State Classic (79-2 3/4, 24.15m) Hawkeye Invite (78-9, 24.00m), and Dr. Rick McGuire Invite (78-1 3/4, 23.82m)... also earned Big Ten Men’s Field Event Athlete of the Week honors for his Hawkeye Invite performance, which broke the existing weight throw school record in his Hawkeye debut... broke his school record in the weight throw two more times during the season... Outdoor - First-team All-American... placed sixth in hammer throw at NCAA Championships (235-11, 71.91m)... won hammer throw with a then-school record-setting 240-2 (73.20m) at Musco Twilight... won hammer throw at Texas State Invite (235-9, 72.87m), Drake Relays (233-5, 71.16m), UCF Black & Gold Invite (233-4, 71.12m), and Texas Relays (230-5, 70.23m)... placed fourth in hammer throw at B1G Championships (229-5, 69.96m) and seventh at NCAA West First Round (217-0, 66.14m)... letterwinner.

2024 -- Competed for Eastern Michigan University... Indoor - Named MAC Freshman Field Athlete of the Year… first-team all-conference honoree… competed in eight meets with five first-place finishes in the weight throw… won weight throw title at MAC Championships, throwing a season-best 73-0 (22.24m)... that mark ranks third in school history... Outdoor - Named MAC Freshman Field Athlete of the Year… first-team all-conference honoree… competed in eight meets with four first-place finishes... won discus (154-3, 47.03m) and shot put 50-2 1/2, 15.30m) with collegiate bests, and won hammer throw (204-6, 62.33m) at Chippewa Challenge… posted a season-best 218-11 (66.74m) in hammer throw at Jim Click Shootout... that mark ranks second in school history... won USATF U20 Championships in hammer throw, going on to place fourth in the world in the event at the U20 World Athletics Track & Field Championships in Lima, Peru.

High School -- Won state titles in hammer and weight throw... best marks senior year were 223-0 in hammer throw, 74-0 in weight throw, 57-0 in shot put and 169-0 in discus... set all throwing school records... lettered four years in track and field and one in football... track and field team captain.

Personal --  Parents are Brad and Brenna Johnson… has one sister, Hannah… mechanical engineering major.
