2023 — Indoor – ran mile at Jimmy Grant Invite (5:55.02)… Outdoor – did not compete… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Academic All-Big Ten… Dean’s List student (Fall 2022, Spring 2023)… letterwinner.

2022 — Indoor – ran season bests in 800 meters at Hawkeye Invite (2:23.81), 1,000 meters at Jimmy Grant Invite (3:16.00), and mile at Larry Wieczorek Invite (5:22.99)… Outdoor – placed sixth in 800 meters at Musco Twilight (2:33.38)… Dean’s List student (Spring 2022)… Cross Country – ran season bests in 4,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (17:09.9) and 5,000 meters at Illini Open (21:25.3)… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar…Academic All-Big Ten… Dean’s List student (Fall 2022)… letterwinner.

 

2021 — Cross Country – posted season bests in 4,000 meters at Hawkeye Invite (16:29.4) and 5,000 meters at Dirksen-Greeno Invite (20:29.1)… Dean’s List student (Fall 2021)…. letterwinner.

High School — two-time all-conference and all-district honoree in cross country, earning all-state honors as a junior… nine-time state meet qualifier and seven-time Drake Relays qualifier in track…placed 10th at state cross country meet junior year… ran on school record-setting 3,200-meter relay (9:27.50)… 10-time academic all-conference in cross country, track, softball and volleyball… two-time Team First award winner in track, earning team Rookie of the Year honors in cross country sophomore year… helped team to two state and two conference cross country titles… coached by Chris Siewert and Patrick Hennes… National Honor Society member… four-year academic letterwinner.

Personal — born June 5, 2003… parents are Chad and Alissa Strauss… siblings are Henry and Charlie… environmental sciences major.
