Emily Vinson Season 2008-09

2009-2010… Competed in all fall events…. competed in the stroke seat of the V8+ during spring racing.

2008-2009… Claimed four first place finishes at the Longhorn Invitational… earned second and fourth place finishes at the San Diego Crew Classic… finished second in both sessions of the Michigan Duals… won the petite finals at the Big Ten Championships… also claimed first place finish in the petite finals of the Central/South Regionals.

2007-2008… Member of the 2V8+ for each race in the spring season… posted a win over Kansas State at the Longhorn Invitational at the four seat… contributed to the Hawkeyes first place team finish with a win over George Washington in the George Washington Invitational… placed third in the Petite Finals at the Big Ten Championships… earned a first place finish in Final C at the South-Central Regionals… sat in the four seat for the final four regattas.

2006-2007… Novice member… member of the N8+ (C) at the Head of the Iowa… raced every N8+ event in the spring… placed first at Longhorn Invite… member of the N8+ that finished third and medaled in the Grand Final of the Big Ten Championships and earned Big Ten Boat of the Week…varsity letterwinner.

Before Iowa… Lettered twice in basketball… National Honor Society member.

Personal… Born March 11, 1988… daughter of Nancy and Tracy Vinson… nursing major.
