Lindsay Alexander

Bio

Lindsay Alexander joined the University of Iowa Olympic strength & conditioning staff in July 2012. She was named an Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach and Special Assistant to the SWA in August, 2021.

Alexander is responsible for women’s basketball, women’s gymnastics and women’s tennis.  She came to Iowa from Purdue University where she served as a Sports Performance assistant.  While at Purdue she oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for women’s golf, women’s tennis, women’s swimming, men’s and women’s diving along with assisting with women’s soccer.

Alexander earned a master’s of science and bachelor’s of science degree from Illinois State University.  As an undergrad she competed for the Redbird swim team and went on to become a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach.  During her time at Illinois State, Alexander worked with numerous teams, including men’s tennis, track & field, women’s golf, women’s basketball and football.

Alexander is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, USAW Level 1 Club Coach from USA Weightlifting as well as CPR/AED certified.  She is also a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

She was married to Todd Alexander in 2020.
