The GymHawks finished the 2024 season ranked 37th nationally. Four Hawkeyes qualified for NCAA Regionals, marking the 24th straight season season (either as a team or individually). Seven different gymnasts won individual titles throughout the season with sophomore Karina Muñoz leading the team with 14. Junior Ilka Juk and Muñoz earned all-conference honors and sophomore Bailey Libby was named to the all-championship team after posting a 9.900 on floor.

Iowa posted a season-high 196.525 at the Kidney Care Gymnastics Championships in Nashville, Tenn. to close out the regular season. In the 2023-24 season, the GymHawks had four student-athletes get into the Iowa record book; Muñoz (2nd vault), Adeline Kenlin (3rd beam), Muñoz and Juk (9th beam), Emily Erb (4th floor), Muñoz (8th and 10th all-around). Freshman Eva Volpe was the only Hawkeye to complete in the all-around in every meet this season. Volpe earned Big Ten weekly honors three times in her freshman campaign.

David was a part of the 2021 regular season Big Ten Championship staff and has helped the team to three straight NCAA regional appearances. Prior to being named the volunteer assistant, David was a student manager for the GymHawks from 2018-20.

A North Liberty, Iowa, native, David graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020 with a degree in sport and recreation management with a concentration in coaching and a minor in physical activity and exercise nutrition.

David previously served as a coach for the Iowa Gymnastics Academy from 2016-20, where she was also a club gymnast under Coach Libby prior to enrolling at the University of Iowa.
