Greenlee, K. Pearson Named to All-Big Ten Teams

University of Iowa rowing senior Hannah Greenlee was named first team All-Big Ten and senior Katie Pearson was named second team All-Big Ten, following the Big Ten Championships Sunday morning at the Indianapolis Rowing Center. Junior Molly Rygh was named Iowa’s Sportsmanship Award honoree.

INDIANAPOLIS — University of Iowa rowing senior Hannah Greenlee was named first team All-Big Ten and senior Katie Pearson was named second team All-Big Ten, following the Big Ten Championships Sunday morning at the Indianapolis Rowing Center. Junior Molly Rygh was named Iowa’s Sportsmanship Award honoree.

The Hawkeyes finished seventh in the tournament with 55 points. The Michigan Wolverines claimed their second-consecutive Big Ten title by winning six of the seven races at Eagle Creek Park.

The Hawkeyes’ saw their best finishes in the I Novice Eight and II Novice Eight — the first races of the day. Iowa’s boat took fifth in both, finishing 19 second behind Michigan in the I Novice Eight and finished 20 seconds behind Ohio State in the II Novice Eight. The Hawkeyes also were within 20 seconds of the winner in the II Varsity Eight.
