1: Iowa is the only team in the country with two wins over ranked opponents (vs. #17 Indiana, 34-6; at #9 Iowa State, 27-17). The Hawkeyes are ranked No. 5 in the AP poll, their highest ranking since Nov. 29, 2015 (#4).

2: Iowa has won its last eight games. The Hawkeyes have outscored their last eight opponents, 275-106, averaging 34.3 points per game offensively and allowing 13.3 ppg during the winning streak. Iowa has scored at least 25 points in every game during its winning streak. It is the first time in school history Iowa has scored 25 points or more in eight straight games.

3: The Hawkeyes’ next win at Kinnick Stadium will be their 300th since the stadium opened in 1929. The first game played at Kinnick Stadium was Oct. 5, 1929, a 46-0 Hawkeye win against Monmouth. Iowa will become the seventh Big Ten school to celebrate at least 300 wins in its home stadium.

4: Iowa has won 13 straight non-conference games, including 10 regular season non-conference victories and three bowl wins. The win streak ranks second in the country to Minnesota (20). Iowa’s last non-conference loss was at the 2017 Outback Bowl (Florida, 30-3).

5: Iowa has played 24 straight games without surrendering 25 points, the longest streak in the nation among Power 5 teams. The Hawkeyes rank No. 2 in the Big Ten in takeaways (7), and No. 3 in scoring defense (11.5) and rush defense (82.0).

6: Iowa ranks No. 2 in the country with six interceptions. Kent State leads the country with eight interceptions. Iowa has 70 interception since 2017, more than any other team in the country.

7: Iowa has turned seven turnovers into 37 points in 2021, including three defensive scores. DB Riley Moss leads the country with two interceptions returned for touchdowns (30, 55), both in Week 1. LB Jack Campbell scoop and scored on a fumble recovery Week 2 at Iowa State.

8: QB Spencer Petras has led Iowa to eight consecutive wins. Petras is 116-204 with 1,339 passing yards during Iowa’s eight-game winning streak. He has thrown nine touchdowns and two interceptions over the last eight games.

9: P Tory Taylor ranks sixth in the country and second in the Big Ten averaging 50.4 yards per punt. Taylor has seven punts of 50 or more yards, including a career-long 69-yard punt at Iowa State in Week 2. He was named Big Ten Co-Special Teams Player of the Week following the Iowa State game.

10: RB Tyler Goodson is averaging 102.3 yards per game (5.5 per carry) during Iowa’s eight-game winning streak. He has nine rushing touchdowns in the last eight games, including one rushing touchdown in each of the first two games this season.
