Hawkeyes Add 15 for 2022-23 Season

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving program has added 15 swimmers and divers that will join the Hawkeyes for the 2022-23 season, it was announced Wednesday by head coach Nathan Mundt.

The student-athletes hail from nine states and includes two international recruits. Three of the signees are transfers from TCU, Penn State and Denison University.

“We are excited to announce the addition of 15 newcomers to our program for the upcoming season,” said Mundt. “The swimmers and divers we have added are all quality student-athletes, and each of them will have an immediate impact on our overall performance in the pool as well as in the classroom. We can’t wait to get everyone on campus and get to work this season.”

“I could give a very long list of reasons that I chose the University of Iowa, but I think I can shorten the list to three key reasons. First, Iowa will challenge me academically – I am excited to explore majors in the career fields that interest me like law and criminal justice. Second, Iowa will challenge me athletically – I plan to continue my swimming career in college and Iowa offers the best facilities and competes in the fastest conference in the nation. Finally, Iowa will challenge me to grow – I know that starting this new chapter in my life will help me with new experiences and new opportunities.”
