Leslie Wendel Season 2025-26

High School —Two-time All-American, two-time all-state and two-time all-conference selection… NCSA qualifier in 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 free, 100 back, 200 back and 100 free… placed third at state meet in 400 free relay in 2019 and eighth in 100 fly… earned bronze in 400-free relay at state meet in 2018… three-time conference champion (400-free relay, 100 fly, 400-free relay)… helped team to back-to-back conference titles… top times were: 55.57 (100 fly), 1:52.66 (200 free), 52.14 (100 free)… set school record as part of 400-free relay… four-year Honor Roll student… Spanish Honor Society member… high school coaches were Mac Guy, Josh Runkle and Mike Leissner.

Personal — Born Feb. 11, 2004, in Chicago… parents are David and Jill Wendel… mother swam at Illinois.. has a twin sister, Alexis, who swims at Illinois… business major.
