2023-24 — Posted collegiate bests in 1,000 free (10:02.46) and 100 breast (1:06.05) at B1G Quad Duals, in 200 breast vs. UNI (2:26.19) and in 200 IM at Nebraska (2:07.18)… the 1,000 free time ranks eighth all-time at Iowa… placed 22nd in 1,650 free and swam a season-best 4:53.60 in 500 free at B1G Championships… swam a season-best 4:25.00 in 400 IM at Hawkeye Invite… CSC Academic All-District… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Academic All-Big Ten honoree… Dean’s List student (Fall 2023, Spring 2024)… letterwinner.

2022-23 — Led team in 500 free (4:54.14), 1,000 free (10:04.70), 1,650 free (16:57.14), and 400 IM (4:27.01)… placed 22nd in 1,650 free (17:01.98) and swam third leg on team-leading 800-free relay that placed 12th at B1G Championships (7:24.56)… won five individual events (three in 1,000 free, and one each in 500 free and 200 IM)… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… President’s List student (Spring 2023)… Dean’s List student (Fall 2022, Spring 2023)… letterwinner.

2021-22 — Competed at Denison University… earned All-America honors in 500 free (fifth-4:52.27), 400 IM (fifth-4:21.41), 1,650 free (fifth-16:51.81) and as part of 800-free relay at NCAA Division III Championships… NCAC conference champion in 1,650 free (16:48.22) and runner-up in 500 free (4:53.13) and 400 IM (4:23.23)… other best times were 1:52.23 (200 free), 4:52.27 (500 free), 4:21.41 (400 IM) and 16:47.31 (1,650 free).

High School — Two-time all-state, three-time team MVP and four-time all-conference selection… finished in the top 10 at state meet three times with her highest finish coming in 500 free, where she placed sixth in 2019… Academic All-American in golf, where she was an honorable mention all-conference selection… graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Personal — Parents are Andy and Courtney O’Brien… father played baseball at St. Thomas… enterprise leadership major.
