2017-18 — Appeared in 12 competitions on the 1V4+ crew and one competition on the 2V8+ crew… placed eighth on the 2V8+ boat (13:13.53) at the Jayhawk Jamboree on Oct. 22… defeated Southern California (7:29.1) in the third round of the Pac 12 Invite on April 1… conquered Michigan State (7:39.04) on April 7… finished third in the morning session (8:05.200) and fourth in the afternoon session (7:32.899) of the Longhorn Invitational on April 28… placed seventh (7:33.848) to help Iowa to a fourth-overall conference standing at the Big Ten Championship on May 13… placed fourth in Heat 3 of prelims (7:34.670), sixth in Heat 1 of semifinals (7:40.33), and sixth in the petite final (7:33.20) to help the Hawkeyes to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Championship on May 27.

2016-17 — Appeared in three competitions on the 3V4+ crew… finished sixth (7:41.02) at the Big Ten Championship on May 14… defeated Ohio State in the morning (7:23.30) and afternoon (8:07.30) sessions of the Big Ten Double Dual on April 8… defeated Kansas (7:46.81) in the morning session and Louisville (7:54.37) in the afternoon session of the Double Dual on April 1… helped Iowa to a fifth-place finish (13:34.59) on the V8 “A” crew and a 15th-place finish (15:17.00) on the V4 “B” crew at the Jayhawk Jamboree on Oct. 23.

2015-16… Competed in seven races on the 2V4+ crew… placed third (8:05.1) at the Big Ten/ACC Double Dual… placed second (7:45.10) and first (7:00.50) in the Big Ten Double Dual in Iowa City… helped Iowa to a second place finish (6:32.77) at the Lake Natoma Invitational… placed second (7:30.0) at the Tennessee Conference Invitational… rowed 2V4+ crew to a sixth place finish (7:43.837) at the Big Ten Championships… helped Hawkeyes to a fifth place finish at the Big Ten Championships (95 points)… letterwinner.

2014-15… Competed with the 2N8+ crew against Kansas in the fall… competed with the 2N8+ crew at the Big Ten Double Dual, the B1G/Big 12 Challenge, and against Tennessee… competed with the 3V4+ crew at the Big Ten Championships where they placed third, receiving a medal… helped the team to a sixth place finish, the second highest scoring performance at the Big Ten Championships in program history, and the highest since 2003.

Before Iowa… Member of high school’s cheerleading team for four years, holding the position of captain for two years… member of high school’s track team for four years… member of high school’s cross country team for two years… member of high school’s volleyball team for one year… also a member of the National Honor Society from 2011 to 2014.

Personal… Born June 16, 1996… daughter of Kevin Koehn and Christine Koehn… political science major.

Why Iowa…The amount of diversity intrigued me, as well as the high level of academic excellence established.

My favorite aspect of rowing is… How everyone must work as a team to move the boat fast while keeping the boat stable. It is such a rush, not to mention exciting.

What made you want to become a rower… I never thought I’d become a rower until I went to the first practice; I immediately fell in love with the sport.
