Hawk Item -- Relative of Max Hawkins, member of Iowa’s 1939 Ironmen team.

2024 Honors -- Brett Greenwood Award... Coaches Appreciation Award, special teams... 2024 -- Played in all 13 games... rushed six times for 35 yards (5.8 per carry avg.) with a long of 17 yards, and returned three kickoffs for 64 yards (21.3 per return avg.) with a long of 35 yards on the season... rushed a career-high four times for 14 yards (long of five yards) in 40-14 win over Northwestern... rushed twice for 21 yards in season-opening 40-0 shutout of Illinois State... returned one kickoff for a career-high 35 yards in 19-20 loss to Iowa State... returned one kickoff for 18 yards in 24-27 Music City Bowl loss to Missouri and one for 11 yards in 20-32 loss at Michigan State... letterwinner.

2023 Honors -- Team Hustle Award, special teams… 2023 -- Played in all 14 games… rushed three times for three yards and his first career touchdown vs. Western Michigan… returned first career kickoff for 20 yards vs. Michigan State… letterwinner.

High school honors -- Earned first-team all-state, all-metro, all-conference and all-eastern Iowa honors as a senior… second-team all-state honors as a junior… first-team all-metro, all-conference, all-eastern Iowa and all-district as a junior… first-team all-district and second-team all-conference and all-metro as a sophomore… National Honor Society member… Honor Roll student… Career -- Three-year football letterman as quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defensive back… prep team reached state quarterfinals as a senior and semifinals as a junior… team Most Valuable Player as a senior… holds school records for career touchdowns and career total points… rushed for 1,400 yards and 17 touchdowns in eight games as a senior, while completing 40-76 pass attempts for 554 yards and four touchdowns… 13 kickoff returns for 301 yards… rushed for 1,114 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior while completing 66-93 pass attempts for 751 yards and seven touchdowns… six kickoff returns for 97 yards as a junior… rushed for 691 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore, with two receptions for 27 yards… completed 19-36 pass attempts for 274 yards and three touchdowns, with five kickoff returns for 116 yards and 22 yards on three punt returns… team captain as a senior… also earned three letters in baseball and track and two letters in baseball.
