Career – – four-year letterman in football as running back, linebacker and punter . . . team captain as a junior and senior . . . gained 4,882 career rushing yards . . . holds school records for rushing yards in a game, season and career, and season and career touchdowns . . . ranks fourth in Iowa Class 4A rushing history . . . as a senior rushed for 1,838 yards and 25 touchdowns, while collecting 56.5 tackles and three sacks on defense . . . also earned four letters in wrestling and two in both baseball and track . . . posted a 45-0 wrestling mark as a senior, collecting bonus points in 41 of 45 matches, earning state titles as a junior and senior.
