2024 Honors – – Part of offensive line that was recognized as a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award... one of nine graduate students named to 2024 Player Council... 2024 - - Played on offensive line in all 13 games, starting the last two games of the season at right tackle... paved the way for offense rushing for 200+ yards in eight games, which is the most since 2015... the team’s 197.2 rushing yards per game ranked third in the Big Ten and 24th nationally, and was the most for the program since 2002... letterwinner.

2023 Honors – – Third-team All-Big Ten by league coaches and honorable mention All-Big Ten by league media… Brett Greenwood Award, offense… 2023 – – Started seven games on the offensive line – five at left guard, one at right guard, and one at right tackle… played in 11 games… paved the way for 254 rushing yards in 41-10 win over Western Michigan, which was the most recorded by Iowa since 2019… helped team to 179 rushing yards in 22-0 win over Rutgers… letterwinner.

2022 – – Played in 12 games, starting at left guard the first five games, at right guard vs. Minnesota and Nebraska, and at right tackle vs. Kentucky… letterwinner.

2021 – – Played in all 14 games, starting seven at right tackle and two at left tackle… letterwinner.

2020 – – Saw action in seven games… letterwinner.

2019 – – Saw first action of career in 48-3 win over Middle Tennessee as offense gained 466 yards total offense… one of eight true freshmen to see action… played in just one game and used redshirt season.

High school honors – – Earned first-team all-state honors as a senior… honorable mention all-state as a junior… first-team all-district as a junior and senior… Career – – Three-year football letterman as defensive end and tight end… helped prep team post three year record of 32-4, including perfect 13-0 mark as a sophomore… prep team won state title as a sophomore, finished second as a junior and reached state playoffs as a senior… recorded 25 tackles on defense and had 73 receiving yards as a senior… 26.5 tackles and 62 receiving yards as a junior… team captain as a senior… also lettered in basketball and track.

Personal – – Born 6/10/2000… CLAS non-degree major… earned academic all-conference honors two years… parents are Stephanie and Mike DeJong… one of two players from Pella on the Iowa roster… high school coach was Jay McKinstrey.
