2023 Honors -- Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… Academic All-Big Ten… Dean’s List student (2023 fall, 2024 spring)… 2023 -- Played in two games on the offensive line.. paved the way for 254 rushing yards vs. Western Michigan, which was the most recorded by Iowa since 2019.

High School Honors -- Named first-team all-state offensive lineman by Des Moines Register as a senior… second-team all-state offensive lineman as a junior and senior by Iowa Newspaper Association… first-team all-district offensive lineman as a junior and senior… Career -- Three-year football letterman as offensive and defensive lineman… helped prep team reach state playoffs as a sophomore and junior with combined 16-4 record… team captain as a senior… collected 32 tackles as a senior, with seven tackles for loss and one sack… 8.5 tackles and one tackle for loss as a junior… also three-year baseball letterman.

Personal -- Born 3/22/2002… sport and recreation management major… earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management with a focus on business studies… named to academic all-district team as a junior and senior… parents are Angie and Casey Chaplin… high school coach was Mark Hubbard.
