Hawk Item — Joined the team as a walk-on.

At North Dakota (2023) — Named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team… started all 12 games at center on the offensive line… his blocking helped UND sit No. 2 in the conference and No. 3 in the country in completion percentage (70.3)… Fighting Hawk quarterbacks had the No. 14 passing efficiency rating nationally (153.02) with the help of his blocking… UND put up over 500 yards of offense twice with him on the line, highlighted by 652 yards against Drake in the 55-7 victory .

At North Dakota (2022) — Saw reserve action on the offensive line in the 42-7 win at Indiana State, helping UND rack up 391 yards of total offense in the victory.

High School — Played three seasons for Southeast Polk High School as a tackle and center along the offensive line… helped his school capture a state title as a senior… earned three straight all-state first team selections… selected to the all-state elite team in his last season… ranked as the top center and in the top-10 at guard in the state of Iowa.

Personal — Born 6/4/2003… sport & recreation major… parents are Molly and Doug Borud… high school coach was Brad Zelenovich…. was a high school teammate of Hawkeye junior safety Xavier Nwankpa at Southeast Polk.
