Josh Manchigiah is in his first year as a graduate assistant coach with the University of Iowa football program. He assists with the defensive secondary.
Manchigiah served as the director of quality control at South Dakota in 2023 after a playing career that spanned seven seasons, the first six at South Dakota State (SDSU) and the final year at South Dakota in 2022.
A three-year starter, Manchigiah amassed 159 tackles, seven interceptions and a sack in 53 games as a safety at SDSU. He led the Jackrabbits with four interceptions during their run to the FCS National Championship game in the spring of 2021. Manchigiah played in seven games and made four starts at safety for South Dakota in 2022.
Manchigiah hails from Papillion, Nebraska, and attended Papillion-La Vista South High School.
Manchigiah and his wife, Chloe, have a daughter, Violet.
