Allan Reyes is in his third year as a strength and conditioning specialist working with the University of Iowa football program. Reyes previously served as an intern with Hawkeye football during June and July 2021.
The Hawkeyes won 18 games the last two seasons, including 10 and capturing the Big Ten West Division in 2023. Iowa earned berths to the Citrus and Music City bowls after the 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively, and finished 2023 ranked No. 24 nationally. The Hawkeyes have been ranked in the final AP Top 25 five of the last seven seasons.
Reyes returned to the Iowa program after serving as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Princeton University in 2022-23, working with the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country programs.
Reyes also spent time at Texas A&M in 2021-22, where he worked closely with the track and field program, and also assisted with the softball, volleyball, swimming & diving, equestrian and dance teams.
Reyes was an assistant Sports Performance Coach at UC-Santa Barbara from November 2020 until March 2021, and was a sports performance intern from January-April, 2020.
Reyes earned his bachelor of science in kinesiology from Westmont College in 2017, and his masters of science in exercise physiology from LSU in 2019. He has been a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association since 2017. He is First Aid and CPR certified by the American Red Cross.
Reyes is a native of Santa Barbara, California. He resides in Coralville with his wife, Erica.
